A brief synopsis of the play;

PUT THAT WOMAN FIRST is a story about four ladies who are trying to get their men to put them first, well at least three of them are because one of the ladies is a self proclaimed independant Black woman who saids, "I make good money, I don't need a man to define my womanhood and as fine as I am I can get any man I want to."

PUT THAT WOMAN FIRST explores the life of a married couple, a couple living together with two children, a young woman who is deeply in love with a brother in prison and of course the independant Black woman who deals with the character "Playboy" friends with benefits.

PUT THAT WOMAN FIRST features the fictious radio station, WLOVE with a female DJ named Peaches who dedicates her entire show to men who need to step it up when it comes to treating their women the way they should be treated. This also happens to be the night of the Jaheim concert. Peaches also opens up the phone lines and receives some interesting calls.

 CASANDRA THOMAS

Casandra is 42 years old and still fine as ever. She is married to Benny T. Thomas and lives the life that most women would do flips for. Her displeasure is that her husband does not spend enough time with her, at one point she says to Benny T. "I think Corporate America is your wife!"

BENNY T. THOMAS

Benny T. is 52 years old and has great life experience. His physical stature can go unnoticed, but his prescence could never be lost. Benny T. always gives advice to others but fails to see his own marriage sinking. He served time in prison which changed his pimping ways (talking about real pimping, real whores, after hour joints and things. While in prison Benny T. earned a degree in Business Acquisitions and currently works to merge businesses in Corporate America.

MICHELLE JOHNSON

Michelle is 33 years old with 2 children. She is emotional and vocal about the fact that her live-in man Sonny does not want to marry her. She is a sister who is not desperate but has family values although she got caught up shacking up with Sonny. Michelle is still young and attractive enough to turn some heads of respectable brothers but she just love herself some Sonny.

SONNY ANDERSON

Sonny is 35 years old and wears dreads neatly and groomed in his head. He is 6ft. tall and has a smooth, ruggedly handsome look to himself. (in other words the sistas really likes the brotha) Thus, is Sonny's predicament, he doesn't want to feel forced to marry Michelle due to circumstances. Sonny cares deeply for Michelle but he still likes a little cake on the side, and not being married he doesn't feel guilty, at least not real guilty.

OLIVIA BROWN

Olivia is 30 years old and looks like she just fell out of Vogue or Essence magazine. She is very sexy and her pecan complexion accents the richness of her natural beauty. She is a self proclaimed independant Black woman. Olivia's love life consist of dealing with Playboy, a man who is, well, a playboy...oofs, Olivia is not perfect after all. 

PAUL "PLAYBOY" THOMAS

Paul Thomas, aka Playboy is 27 years old. He has been playing the ladies since he was 17 and still playing just as much to this day. His uncle is Benny T. His father was nicknamed "Pimping Pete" and he was shot to death when Playboy was 4 years old. Play's mother is a dope fein and she stop caring for him when he was 10. Olivia,as fine as she is cannot change Playboy. His attributes are that he has a quick tongue(you do the math) and his good looks usually gives him the key to unlock the jewels of most women. Playboy is truly a Playboy.

DEBBIE JOHNSON

Debbie is 25 years old. She has much to learn about priorities of life especially when it comes to family. She is the younger sister of Michelle and they constantly go at it about the men in their lives. Debbie's heartache is that she is deeply in love with her man Melvin, who is doing a bid in prison and this is ripping her emotional essence to pieces.

ROBBIE "DOG" STEVENSON

Robbie Stevenson, aka "Rob Dog" is 29 years old. He has an identical twin name Rickie and when they were teenagers they use to play pranks on females(of a sexual nature). Rob is still a prankster and gets a serious high from it. He is now involved with one of Playboy's old flames, Rita. They both try to act like they cool with it but the friction between them is quite obvious. Rob "Dog' is simply a slick and thuggish type dude.

PEACHES EVANS

Peaches is 32 years old and works as a DJ for WLOVE Radio. She tells it like it is in regards to men stepping up to treat their lady the way she should be treated. Peaches is surely a celebrity to many listeners and that includes women and men. She is currently the host of the WLOVE LOVEJAMS SHOW 100.1 FM

"PUT THAT WOMAN FIRST" is a powerful dramatic stage play with dynamic singing! America get ready for a rollercoaster ride of "good love"..."bad love"..."hurting love" and some of that I just can't get enough of that "crazy love"...It'll make you holla baby!!!
